This unique bowl is hand-carved from the native Hawaiian Milo wood. The carving on the bowl depicts Kane the god of creation. These bowls are more than just vessels; they embody ceremonial significance, paying homage to their Polynesian heritage. They grace altars as offerings, stand as sacred artifacts, or simply captivate as pieces of artistry in their own right. They're not confined to secret rooms or hallowed halls; they find their place proudly displayed in homes, offices, and cultural institutions, fostering a connection to Hawaiian spirituality and traditions.

Now, let's voyage across oceans and eras to a slice of my own past. Picture 1992, Düsseldorf, Germany. In a city renowned for its beer culture, I dabbled briefly as a beer taster, relishing the flavors and textures that defined the heart of the Rhineland. Yet, my true passion lay beyond the frothy brews, it was the antique stores and auctions that beckoned me.

It was in one such auction that destiny dealt its hand, presenting me with this exquisite bowl. The tale spun around it was as intriguing as the piece itself, a whisper of Rangi Te Whetu, a Polynesian pioneer of the cosmos. In the late 80s, Te Whetu planted his Polynesian spirit in Soligen, donning the hat of a senior mission specialist at DLR Deutsches Zentrum für Luft und Raumfahrt.
